When you hear the word “fresco” they are likely to visualize a particular style of painting which can be often found on ceilings, plaster or on walls. The word”fresco” is derived by the Italian affresco, which means in the sense of “fresh”. This perfectly describes the method as the color needs to adhere to plaster for as long as it’s still damp. This year, I got the opportunity to view the world’s biggest ceiling fresco (677 meters or 7287 feet) which was very impressive and, therefore was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on the 30th of October, 1981.
I’ve been wanting to write an article about the many ways you can wear a fresco suit since the summer we made our Spring/Summer 2019 collection. However, we’re a tiny team and certain things have to be put on the back burner. It happens that there’s nothing better than a month-long break to allow space for the projects we’ve wanted to complete. As we mentioned in an earlier Swatches piece, we adore this fabric because of its incredible breathability and beautiful drape. Another important feature that is particularly appealing in the perfect shade of blue is its flexibility. A suit that is lightweight and has amazing color and texture as this has a lot of ways to style it and here’s an look at a few of the ways I prefer wearing it.
Louche Dressy
Due to its bright blue shade It’s a natural match for this suit is an open collared shirt and loafers. This is the sort of outfit I’d wear for an informal Summer gathering or a night out. The more appealing should you borrow the car of someone else’s Porsche on the way (thanks Alan). In contrast to the blue suit’s solid color and the seersucker striped band collar shirt is a focal point. I’m not one for excessively brightening up on the front so a subtle multi-colored brown and blue printed pocket square completes the style. When it comes to warm weather tailoring, there aren’t many better combinations than a fresco suit and seersucker for beating the heat.
Summer Casual
Making it more casual, during a weekend early morning Southampton I wore my suit with a light cotton jersey polo from our ready-to wear collection. This is where the material of the suit creates an impact. If you’re wearing an Summer suit with knits, the most natural option is a casual fabric . Suits made composed of linen, cotton, or blends of wool are typical and are generally considered to be the best. Wool is not as popular since it’s generally slightly more formal. But , thanks to the smooth texture, vibrant color and wide fabric, this scarf can be worn casually, as in this. Espadrilles complete the look and emphasise that it’s meant to be worn for leisure.
Professional Attire
When you’re in the city, dress the look with a tie to wear for an evening out and about from the store. There are many methods to put together a classy outfit with this suit, but this time we went for an easier side. A light yellow shirt is an unexpected backdrop for a stunning silk tie that is printed in light blue. The vibrant color of navy suit works well with the light yellow shirt. Other natural options for shirts include white or pink, as well as patterns blues. You’ll need to believe me for it. I was wearing appropriate Edward Green loafers that day that look pretty elegant, but for work, I’d opt for a pair middle-brown Belgian loafers when I wear an outfit such as this.
I’ll close by bringing up a idea. We did not style it this in the first place, but should the suit jacket be decorated by horns in brown,, you can put it on as an additional blazer particularly if you’re travelling and you’re looking to pack lightweight. In the end, when constructed using the right fabric an open-weave suit is a remarkably versatile outfit that can provide many styling options to suit whatever you want during the summer months.
