Earth Earth Taweez are generally written with ink or Zafran on a piece paper or carved onto metal. The most appropriate way to use the Taweez is to place the soil in which it is placed.

Fire: This specific kind of writing may also be written onto paper using ink or Zafran or engraved on metal. But, it must be placed in the flame or close to an area of heat source to be effective.

Air: This particular kind of Taweez is written the same way. But, air Taweez are hung on a roof or tree.


The popularity of Taweez has been adapted into Hinduism too. Hindu Taweez generally feature their own Om (or Aum symbol which is thought as sacred in their faith. The Taweez can also be used to complement the look of religious characters in Bollywood films.
